Sand Moor’s junior program is setting the standard in Yorkshire, boasting a membership of over 70 young players. With three competitive teams, weekly qualifying competitions, expert coaching sessions, dynamic summer camps, social events and a meticulously designed development pathway, Sand Moor is empowering every junior member to excel and reach unparalleled heights in their golfing journey.
Individual / Paired Lessons
Glen subsidises the cost of junior individual lessons. Lessons will be tailored to the junior’s age and ability and will receive all the benefits of a normal adult lesson.
Group Lessons
Saturdays 10am – 11am Ages 5-9
Saturdays 11am – 12noon Ages 10+
Wednesdays 5pm-6pm All Ages (March-October)
Limited to 10 people per group
Spaces get booked on a weekly basis via an online app (Spond).
Book via Spond in advance £10 / £12.50pp on the day
Holiday Camps
Fun activities for children aged between 5-16 every Half Term / School Holiday.
Whether your child is new to the game or has played before these camps cater for everyone. All equipment is provided, price includes drinks, refreshments and Lunch.

DEVELOPMENT PROGRAMME
Junior
Junior development is one of the most important times for a golfer. With regular guidance and communication from a PGA Professional and a TPI Certified Coach, this will help develop any junior, physically, mentally and technically to reach their potential.
WEEKLY GOLF LESSONS
Receive a golf lesson every week covering all aspects of your game. Constantly monitoring progression and development.

By being a junior member at Sand Moor Golf Club there are fantastic opportunities for you. Sand Moor is part of the Leeds and District Union and competes in the Junior League against other clubs. In 2019 Sand Moor won the Leeds and District Junior Cup competing at courses in the West Yorkshire Region.
Sand Moor is also part of the Golf Sixes League which is supported by the European Tour and the Golf Foundation. The Golf Sixes League is for younger juniors who do not have a handicap or have a handicap above 36. Introducing them to competitive golf in a friendly team format.
Social Events
Regular social events take place for the juniors at Sand Moor. As part of Sand Moor’s end of season celebrations over 30 juniors went to Junk Yard golf in Leeds, followed by a meal out. A modern crazy golf course in the city centre. Events such as night golf and a Junior AM-AM take place annually raising money for the section.
