Indoor Swing Room
Sand Moor’s teaching bay was refurbished in 2020. The indoor swing room has a built in golf simulator where you can play various courses around the world. It is also insulated, heated with wifi available. It is a great facility for teaching, with the use of flightscope technology to track all the data you could ever wish for.
This is great for the winter months and the dark nights to keep improving your game.
Large Teaching Bay
Refurbished in 2020 Sand Moors teaching bay hits out to a wide 300+ yard long driving range. The spacious room is out of the way of fellow golfers practicing on the driving range so you can focus on your game.
The outdoor teaching bay also has access to flight scope technology to track all the data you could ever wish for.
NEW Levelled 400sq foot Teeing Area
NEW to 2021, just right of the teaching bay is a newly constructed 400 square foot teeing area. With a sprinkling system integrated and regular maintenance from the green staff, the practice ground offers the best conditions for you to practice.
NEW Short Game Area
NEW to 2021, the short game area offers a variety of golf shots that are similar shots you would play around Sand Moor. Subtle mounding and tight lies to practice your chipping and two larger bunkers to practice your long, mid and short bunker shots.
Large Putting Green
Next to the clubhouse Sand Moor has a large putting green approximately 800 square foot . Sand Moor is renowned for its fast testing greens and the putting green is no different. With the large space you won’t struggle to find your own space to practice.
18 Hole Championship Golf Course
Sand Moor Golf Course was originally designed in 1921 with a heavy influence from Doctor Alistair Mackenzie who designed the famous Augusta National Golf Course, featuring bunkers, tight fairways and undulating greens. Sand Moor is considered one of the most beautiful courses in Northern England, Sand Moor Golf Course is a real test for golfers.
Fully Stocked Professional Shop
Alex James, Head Professional at Sand Moor. Offers a fully stocked professional shop, with all the latest clubs and clothing trends. Being a foremost member, Alex endeavours to source your requirements. The shop floors main hardware brands are Titlesit, Taylormade, Callaway and PING. The shop also has a wide range of clothing featuring Footjoy, Under Armour, Glenmuir and Galvin Green.
